NO FREE PRESS = NO FREEDOM

02/01/2011     by Rex Adams

Questions that Americans should be asking as a new decade begins are (1) is America a “free country” and (2) is there a “free press” in our nation today? Unfortunately, the answer to both of these profound questions is a resounding NO! Instead of a “free country” we have become a nation of burdensome and suffocating rules and regulations, the vast majority of which fly squarely in the face of the U.S. Constitution.

By literal definition, America has devolved into a defacto police state wherein the principles of individual liberty have become subordinated to the interest of the collective at every turn. With the passing of each year we have witnessed the systematic dismantling of the basic freedoms and liberties which have, historically, been taken for granted in our nation. Through a variety of mechanisms and manipulations, we have become increasingly subjected to a contrived and distorted perspective that has spawned the impression that statist trends, in general, are both necessary and in the best interest of all. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth!

Alarmingly, we now find ourselves staring into a hopeless chasm of Orwellian new speak and heavy handed policy, the net result of which has led us to what seems to be the point of no return. How can we ever turn back the hands of time and put the monster of oppressive government back in the Constitutional cage where it belongs? Lord Acton said it so well when he stated that “power corrupts” and “absolute power corrupts absolutely.” George Washington manifested the ultimate in wisdom when he said that “Government is not reason, it is not eloquence…it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” Indeed…the state in modern America has assumed God-like status and powers and has become utterly perfected in its embodiment of hypocrisy, abusiveness, and corruption.

Central to the problem of our rapidly disappearing liberty is the fact that for many years there has been no functioning free press in America. The print and broadcast media have served as abject accomplices in the ongoing campaign to brainwash and control the American people. Sprawling communications empires are nothing more than crass vehicles of mind control which perform ceaselessly and energetically in the interest of perpetuating the status quo or what some consider to be the “party line.” The wise American founders understood that freedom of the press ranked right along side of religious freedom and freedom of speech as cornerstones of true and genuine liberty.

For generations, Americans have been oblivious to the fact that the media functions as a tool of manipulation and control in the hands of a monied, oligarchic elite. In contemporary America the public has been “dumbed down” to the point of stunning ignorance and lack of common sense! The average person today is so thoroughly captivated and distracted by meaningless forms of diversion and entertainment that they are woefully incapable of understanding the broader and weightier philosophical concepts upon which the American republic was originally established.

In John 8:32 Jesus stated that the truth sets men free. It has been observed that “none are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free.” Americans falsely believe themselves to be free when all around them the walls of statist tyranny are being erected and fortified. Only the truth will suffice to emancipate well intentioned individuals from the dreadful lies they have been subverted into believing. That truth, of course, must be heralded and proclaimed through the age old mechanism of a free press. If such a vehicle and engine of liberation (i.e., a genuine free press) does not soon emerge, we will find ourselves hopelessly and permanently enslaved by the false god of big government, and all the mindless lackeys who dutifully perform the daily exercises that are necessary to effect and maintain the oppression and enslavement of their fellow man.

Murder of Tenn. Official Linked to Grand Jury Corruption?

Events take a scary turn in ex-Navy man’s eligibility lawsuit against President Obama

07/29/10     By Pat Shannan, American Free Press, 08/02/10 Issue 31

The corruption exposed by retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Walt Fitzpatrick in Monroe County, Tenn., over the illegal seating of grand jury foreman Gary Pettway may have reached a new low with the murder of a prominent Republican Elections Commission official. On July 17, the charred body of Jim Miller, 60, a well-known businessman and lifelong resident of Sweetwater, was found wrapped in a blanket in the trunk of his Ford Crown Victoria.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson, Miller’s car was discovered “fully engulfed in flames” off Old Highway 68 around 8 p.m. that Saturday by a deputy on patrol. After extinguishing the flames, firefighters from the nearby Christiansburg Fire Department discovered Miller’s remains in the trunk. Officials told AMERICAN FREE PRESS that, although the autopsy had been performed, the results could take as long as six weeks to be released to the public. Two days later, Sheriff Bill Bivens divulged that Miller was killed by an unspecified number of gunshots. A deputy, once a suspect, was officially cleared after three days.

Miller had been working in his Madisonville Elections Commission office on Saturday morning because of early voting and had been missing all afternoon after leaving for home around 12:30 p.m. He apparently had been commandeered in broad daylight in the gangland-style slaying.

“He’d made a call to his wife and was going home, but he never made it home,” fellow commission member James Brown said.

Besides his commission post, Miller has been 1st District chairman of the Republican Party. He was a lifelong Sweetwater resident, president of the Jim Miller Excavating Co., and active in community affairs.

Speculation and rumors are flying in Madisonville, where, only three weeks earlier, Judge Carroll Ross had angrily banned Fitzpatrick from any more research of county records pertaining to the Navy man’s legal challenge on constitutional grounds of Barack Obama’s eligibility to be U.S. president—an effort that has been stymied at every turn by the “locals.”

Supporters of Fitzpatrick say Miller, who had only been in office since April, was definitely an honest man who abhorred corruption and may have been sympathetic to Fitzpatrick’s efforts to force officials to abide by the law. As Elections Commission chairman, Miller likely had the political clout to help right the grand jury’s wrongs, and perhaps influence the proceedings.

On the other hand, some of the citizenry, after hearing news of the murder, immediately jumped to conclusions and voiced accusations toward Fitzpatrick and supportive friend Darren Huff. However, Fitzpatrick was at a picnic with a dozen friends, four of whom actually went past the murder scene on the way home, and Huff was at home in Georgia with a federal monitor around his left ankle.

Huff is the Georgia militia chaplain who was accosted by three branches of law enforcement on his way into Madisonville on April 20. After being detained for 90 minutes, explaining his “Oath Keepers” insignia on his truck doors, and locking his (legal) weapons in his truck’s toolbox, he was allowed to proceed to the courthouse. Ten days later he was indicted on federal charges of “crossing a state line with intent to incite a riot.”

Oath Keepers is an organization that asks both retired and active duty police and military people to pledge never to enforce martial law against their fellow Americans, nor confiscate their firearms, nor fire upon them in the event of civil unrest of any kind.

Huff, who is due in Knoxville court on July 27 for a hearing on the federal charges, has demanded his local sheriff make sure he is accompanied by armed deputies for his trip into Tennessee.

Senate Democrats Seek to Exploit Oil Spill to Ramrod Climate Bill

07/13/10     American Free Press, 07/12/10 Issue 28

Democrats in the Senate say they will exploit the oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico to ramrod through legislation addressing claims about cataclysmic global warming that objective scientists agree are spurious. According to a recent report in a mainstream New York daily, a summary of a closed-door Senate Democratic caucus meeting, leaked to the press, reveals that Democrats are seeking to use the spill as leverage to force Republican support, essentially saying that failure to vote for a climate change bill that is loaded down with new oil drilling regulations is a vote for Big Oil polluters.

In recent reports, AFP reporter Victor Thorn has been making the case that the internationalists see the disaster as an ideal time to force through new global climate change laws that will be profitable for them. What the Democrats are really going for is something known as “cap and trade.” In a nutshell, this involves bureaucrats setting carbon-emission standards on all U.S. factories. That is the “cap” portion of the plan. The “trade” part comes into play when factories cannot meet the levels set by government regulators.

Those corporations will then have to turn to others, who meet or come in under the emissions standards that have been imposed upon them. The companies that exceed their government-imposed standards will then be able to purchase or trade other companies’ remaining emissions levels so as to raise their own.
A new breed of carbon capitalists on Wall Street are already champing at the bit to create a market for “cap and trade,” whereby corporations will be able to trade emissions levels like they buy and sell commodities or swap stock. Of course, slash-and-burn speculators will also be able to get in on the horse trading, betting on futures and formulating exotic derivatives based on who will and will not be able to meet government imposed levels.

That is grounds enough for voting against cap and trade. However, the bigger problem stems from what the program will do to American business.

Heavy taxation and onerous regulations have already driven many corporations out of the United States in search of cheap or slave labor and limited government, where they can make a profit. Meanwhile, those patriotic companies that have chosen to stay in the United States will face even more complex regulations. In a continuing cycle that further squeezes domestic industry, the costs will be passed down to Main Street, making it even harder for consumers in the United States.

The Destruction of U.S. Border States

07/07/10     By Louis Thomas McFadden, American Free Press, 07/05/10 Issue 27

While the 1980s and 1990s were dominated by optimistic reports and government statements on the contributions of illegal aliens, reality had to be faced soon. The three states—California, Texas and New York—harboring the most illegal aliens in America financially collapsed by the weight they chose to carry. They built up giant welfare programs, they paid for the education and incarceration of the aliens who filled their schools and jails and they watched the closures of large numbers of hospitals that were forced to care for the aliens by law. Some counties in Arizona spent as much as 30 percent of their health budget on illegals.

The constant injection of millions of illegal aliens have weakened and undermined the financial balance of all the U.S. border states to a degree where most of them are presently close to bankruptcy and suffer the financial effects of lowered credit ratings. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates that the approximately two million illegal aliens cost $4.7 billion a year in Texas alone. The estimate incorporates the medical, educational and incarceration expenses spent on the aliens but no one can place a dollar value on a degraded society where the White working class was literally chased out of state by the dramatic reduction of wages and businesses that moved away. Orderly cities were replaced by chains of crime-ridden third world slums.

There are 1,880,000 jobs lost by Americans to illegal aliens every year (FAIR) and the aliens’ lower wages are subsidized by taxpayer resources making big business the ultimate winner and American society the ultimate loser in this game. Walmart was employing close to 1.2 million people in 1993 and regularly educated her low paid employees on how to tap into welfare and Medicaid resources to subsidize their income. Federal agents raided 61 stores in 21 states in 1993 and arrested hundreds of illegal aliens hired by the company.

In 1994 California paid $215 million to deliver 74,987 anchor babies for illegal aliens and the total number in the U.S. was approximately 300,000 for that year. After birth comes education, welfare, food stamps, Medicare, incarceration and the millions of relatives who cannot resist the invitations.

By the early 1990s the situation was clearly getting out of hand in California and the “Save Our State” (SOS) Proposition 187 was set into motion by Ron Prince, an accountant in Orange County in 1994.At the time around half of all illegal aliens arrested along the 2,200-mile U.S.-Mexican border were arrested on a 14-mile stretch in San Diego, Calif. Proposition 187 was approved by 59 percent of the voters—over five million votes—after thousands of citizens donated their time to collect the hundreds of thousands of signatures to place it on the ballot. The main goal was to take public benefits away from illegal aliens and deny schooling to their children—a reasonable action if we consider the state’s white population was being dissolved and replaced by the aliens. However, Proposition 187, which reflected the will of the majority of the voters, was sabotaged by Federal Judge Mariana R. Pfaelzer, who declared the measure unconstitutional, and Gov. Gray Davis, who stopped appeals in the legal process. As a result, a number of absurd cases surfaced in the following years. After waiting at the San Diego border crossing, a woman ran across the border, grabbed a lamppost and delivered a new “American citizen” in front of a video camera. Mexicans were running across the border on the I-5 freeway in California along the center divider among the moving cars and crossed the border by the hundreds in front of federal agents. An agency of the California government paid for billboard advertisements in Mexico that promised free medical care in California to all.

This is how California, the Golden State of the 1980s, was turned into the Slumlord State of 2010, constantly fighting off creditors, unable to pay state employees and dancing on the edge of a knife to avoid bankruptcy.

Does British Petroleum Really Want to Cap the Gulf Oil Well?

07/06/10     By Victor Thorn, American Free Press, 07/05/10 Issue 27

Instead of trying to cap the Gulf of Mexico’s oil “volcano,” what if British Petroleum (BP) actually wants the flow of oil to keep going until their relief wells reach it?

Since BP already has spent so much time and money tapping into what is alleged to be one of the largest oil reserves on the planet, BP may never again have access to this unimaginably large underwater oil supply due to the uproar created by its environmental catastrophe.

Thus, closing the underwater gusher now could mean never again having such an opportunity. So, despite the ecological impact, they may be allowing the crude oil to keep spewing into the Gulf of Mexico.

Although such a notion sounds deplorable, especially when seeing the gulf region’s devastation, geologist Robert K. Denton posed this possibility during a June 15 interview with longtime radio talk show host Keith Hansen.

In a subsequent follow-up interview with this writer on June 16, Hansen broached the topic of whether BP capitalized on a known “nightmare rig,” Deepwater Horizon, or if the possibility of deliberate sabotage existed.

“There shouldn’t be a rush to judgment,” he began. “Instead, it’s better to use a wait-and-see approach. But I’m always suspicious of anyone who says oil isn’t plentiful. I don’t think it’s a finite resource in any way, shape or form.”

Hansen next referenced a mid-1980s Wall Street Journal article that mentioned an oil field near the Louisiana coast that expanded in size after being tapped. He explained the big-picture ramifications.

“Oil is being artificially constricted to keep prices high,” said Hansen. “The whole idea of being held captive by oil is another justification for us to stay in the Middle East.”

Former AFP editor Jim Tucker confirmed this notion in a recent report on the 2010 Bilderberg meeting in Spain. Tucker wrote:

Gas prices will be allowed to drop for the summer months to pacify the public over the BP oil spill, but will kick back up to at least $4 a gallon, according to Bilderberg plans. To help this, Bilderberg will keep oil production at only 80 percent of capacity.

If President Obama’s moratorium on offshore drilling in the gulf survives on appeal of a negative ruling by a federal judge, other energy companies will vacate the region, leaving BP or another transnational company that acquires them with a monopoly on this vast oil pocket.

In addition, by not allowing the Dutch and 17 other countries to assist in the cleanup, the Gulf has effectively become off limits to domestic drilling. Is this why BP insisted on pathologically low-balling their oil flow estimates? By initially keeping the figures at a level where no sense of urgency existed, it impeded response efforts during the first crucial month of this disaster.

Furthermore, during Obama’s June 15 Oval Office address, he spent one-third of his speech pushing “cap and trade” legislation. Coincidentally, an initial major supporter of this bill was none other than BP. Plus, since BP served as one of Obama’s largest campaign contributors in 2008, could we be seeing a very complex bait and switch operation?

Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is famous for saying, “Never let a serious crisis go to waste.” In this regard, another scenario comes into play. Asian journalist Chen Zhu reported on June 17 that Chinese oil companies “smell blood in the BP disaster” and are “circling over BP assets.”

Moreover, a May 26, 2008, Bloomberg article noted that Edmond de Rothschild purchased a 15.3 percent stake in the Zhonghai Fund Management Company, which is the China National Offshore Oil Corporation’s (CNOOC) largest shareholder. CNOOC is named as one of the competing interests in acquiring BP if it goes bankrupt.

Similarly, another member of this family, David Rothschild, admitted that last year’s Copenhagen Summit was “more about global governance rather than global warming.”

Prophetically, England’s Lord Christopher Monckton warned on Oct. 14, 2009 that the Copenhagen conference was an attempt to “impose a communist world government.”

Radio talk show host Frank Whalen contends that any type of global environmental bill will not pass until cap and trade is ratified in the United States.

This quandary leads to the crux of a rather nasty predicament. What if BP declares bankruptcy, thereby forcing U.S. taxpayers to foot the bill? As America is pushed further toward the brink of economic collapse, globalists will be making their next crucial move.

Matthew Thayer of the Chico Conservative Examiner wrote on June 1 how BP may constitute “a fall guy creating an environmental crisis to fill the void left by the waning theory of global warming. What does a multi-billion dollar company matter when trillions are at stake? BP is merely a financial chess piece sacrificed as means to a much more lucrative end—environmental laws and treaties designed to take away individual property rights and forever secure global governance.”

The BP-Obama connection is so pervasive that in June 2009 Interior Secretary Ken Salazar appointed Sylvia Baca to a post under Elizabeth Birnbaum, then director of the maligned Minerals Management Service (MMS). When Birnbaum fell on the sword and resigned after the oil spill scandal, Baca—who worked at BP for eight years prior to this assignment—remained.

Considering BP’s firsthand knowledge of their faulty oil rig equipment, CEO Tony Hayward’s sale of stock prior to this disaster, their abysmal cleanup efforts and financial ties to the Obama administration, everyone should ponder the possibility of sabotage or an inside job in regard to the April 20 explosion.

Is the entire drama being played out before us nothing more than a sham?

Or, as Keith Hansen asserts, “If this whole thing was rigged, Big Oil will always win.”

9-11, BP Oil Spill: Scrutinizing Those Who Profited

07/01/10     By Pat Shannan, American Free Press, 07/05/10 Issue 27

With officials finally admitting that the evidence has been destroyed, it now appears that one of the great mysteries of the 9-11 saga will never be solved—that being just exactly which individuals or groups had enough information to cause the inordinate amount of sales of “put options” on both American and United Airlines the day before the staged attack.

On Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, 4,516 “put options” predicting a lower future price were placed on American Airlines compared to only 748 “call options” predicting a higher price. The previous Thursday and Friday the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) saw purchases of 4,744 “put options” on United Airlines but only 396 “call options.” This amounted to more than six times the norm.

At 8:46 a.m. on “Black Tuesday” morning, American Airlines flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center’s (WTC) north tower. Seventeen minutes later United Airlines flight 175 hit the south tower. Airline crashes always cause the company’s stock to go down.

Economic Policy Journal editor Robert Wenzel has suspected the CBOE of destruction of stock option records for years and now writes that, thanks to a Freedom of Information Act request by another editor, the Securities and Exchange Commission has confessed.

The SEC’s reply to SmartCEO editor David Callahan’s FOIA letter said:

“This letter is in response to your request seeking access to and copies of the documentary evidence referred to in footnote 130 of Chapter 5 of the Sept. 11 Commission Report. . . .We have been advised that the potentially responsive records have been destroyed.”

Wenzel checked with a Chicago contact and reported, “My source is an employee at the CBOE, who told me that, just days after the 9-11 attack, government officials (or at least individuals purporting to be from the government) met with the president of the CBOE and told him to stop the investigation into who purchased the options. The records were destroyed, according to my source.”

Wenzel writes, “Now, we have confirming evidence from the SEC itself of destruction of these type of documents that they may have had in their possession. It is extremely heavy circumstantial evidence that the persons who bought these ‘put options’ knew in advance of the 9-11 attack. If ever a congressional inquiry was required, this certainly appears to be the case.”

Now, fast-forwarding to the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster and following the solid research by online writer Darren Weeks, many early reports over the past two months appear to be bearing some fruit.

Weeks asks if the numerous and highly profitable financial and business transactions that took place in the days, weeks and months prior to the rig explosion were just a “coincidence.”

How is it that stock in BP and Transocean suddenly seemed so unattractive to those closest to the disaster?

Amongst the documented incidents, too numerous to fully include here, we find:

Not only did Goldman Sachs “short” shares on TransOcean, the owner of the failed Deepwater Horizon drilling rig, only days before the explosions rocked the gulf rig (thereby grabbing major profits from the huge disaster just as it had previously done with both 9-11 and the housing bubble); but Goldman also dumped over four and a half million shares of BP stock at a value of $250 million. This amounted to 44 percent of its holdings. AFP reporter Victor Thorn detailed this unusual market activity in the June 28 edition of AFP.

TransOcean itself took out a $560 million insurance policy on the Deepwater Horizon rig. The dollar amount was well above the rig’s value. According to British reports, insurance payouts amounted to a $270 million profit from the disaster.

“The windfall, revealed in a conference call with analysts, will more than cover the $200 million that Transocean expects to pay to survivors and their families and for higher insurance costs,” The London Times online reported.

A well-known Bilderberger, Peter Sutherland, the chairman of Goldman Sachs International, also served as chairman of BP until last year.

Other asset management firms sold huge blocks of BP stock in the first quarter, but their sales were far less than Goldman’s. Wachovia, which is owned by Wells Fargo, sold 2,667,419 shares; UBS, the Swiss bank, sold 2,125,566 shares.

“If that weren’t enough of a ‘coincidence’,” says Weeks, “we also had The Telegraph out of London reporting that the chief executive of BP, Tony Hayward, also sold 223,288 shares, worth over $2 million of stock in his own company on March 17—only weeks before the BP Gulf mess. The paper noted that by doing so he ‘avoided’ losing more than $614,449 when BP’s share price plunged after the oil spill began.”

Yet there is even more. Only 10 days prior to the blowout, it was learned that Halliburton was in the process of acquiring Boots & Coots, well known for putting out some of the world’s largest oil and gas fires. The company’s expertise includes deepwater application and well inspections, as well as blowout prevention. According to The Orlando Sentinel, their services are already in use in the Gulf, as they are “one of two primary companies designing relief-well strategies for the BP blowout.”

The deal was cemented only hours before the biggest blowout in history, and Halliburton—the company notorious for profiting from no-bid government contracts in war zones—will have miraculously positioned itself for yet another huge profit.

The Senate Candidate Who Dares to Tell the Truth

06/20/10     By Rex Adams

For the past two months Florida news has been dominated by the story of the BP oil spill. On April 20 a mysterious offshore explosion resulted in the sinking of a drilling platform at the location of the Deepwater Horizon BP oil well off the coast of Louisiana. This tragic event caused the death of 11 workers and resulted in the rupturing of the mile deep well head. Immediately, this underwater geyser of oil began belching forth a massive quantity of crude and in the ensuing weeks the watching nation has witnessed the evolution of a full blown environmental crisis that threatens the economy and ecology of the entire region.

As the BP oil spill has spread its debilitating impact throughout a sizeable portion of the Gulf of Mexico, it has become increasingly obvious that the implications and aftershocks of this event will be long term. Already the tourism industry that drives the economy throughout the region has taken a huge blow to the mid-section! Understandably, the throngs who normally flock to the sandy white beaches of Florida’s Gulf Coast are choosing to travel elsewhere. Oily sheen and tar balls have already washed ashore from Louisiana to Florida and, astonishingly, the oil just keeps coming. BP has tried various methods for stopping the deep, underwater expulsion and flow but has fallen short of success at every turn. The crisis has now escalated to a fever pitch and many are sensing the possibility of a permanent crippling of this highly significant population center. Wary observers have even pointed to the probability that oil will eventually inundate the gulf stream and be circulated around the peninsula and up the Eastern seaboard!

From early on in this unfolding drama, politicians have postured and pontificated relative to the oil spill…for the most part reserving their greatest antipathy and loathing for BP and the broader oil drilling industry. The blame game is now in high gear with the current administration having entered the fray with sweeping declarations and pronouncements. Barak Obama has excoriated and condemned BP but has been strangely silent about the failure of those regulatory and oversight entities within the federal leviathan who clearly share whatever blame resets at the feet of BP.

Among the candidates for the Florida US Senate seat that will be filled in November, only one is daring to venture into the forbidden terrain of conspiracy speculation. On his TylerforSenate.com website Senate candidate Pastor Rick Tyler of Pensacola has boldly asserted that the mushrooming catastrophe bears all the classic markings of a false flag event designed to bring about massive change in our nation. A longtime student of conspiracy science, Tyler has sought to bring attention to the fact that highly suspicious and incriminating circumstances preceded the occurrence of this disaster. Major financial players in the world of high finance just happened to have the remarkably good fortune to sell off their BP stock immediately prior to the explosion and subsequent spill. Tyler has cited this and other equally incriminating factors as prima facie evidence of advance knowledge of the spill. It logically follows such a presumption that conspiring parties had to have engaged in actions designed to effect what is now being projected to become the biggest environmental crisis in our nation’s history. Already, the federal power is announcing its intent to enact broad and pervasive policies to ostensibly prevent a repetition of this crisis from ever again occurring. In other words…our government is now launching yet another war…a war on environmental disaster and the unbridled “capitalistic greed” that inevitably spawns such a plague. Tyler alone, of course, points to the absurdity of the spectacle that is unfolding daily in the regional and national media. While everyone is fixated on the objective of containing and cleaning up the ever expanding oil spill, no one even bothers to connect the dots and arrive at the obvious conclusion that, once again, we are witnessing the occurrence of a contrived and deliberately engendered crisis. As is typically the case, those vile personages who are uniquely capable of pulling off such an unthinkable criminal conspiracy are never even as much as suspected as being the culprits. It is all too easy for the public…salivating for a scapegoat to sink their teeth into…to buy into the premise that, due to their greed, carelessness, and incompetence…BP has caused this dreadful event to occur.

As it becomes quite obvious that Tyler alone will dare point out the chilling implications of murderous, criminal conspiracy at the highest echelons of power, it is not difficult to understand why the local media has deliberately sought to black out the Tyler for Senate candidacy. Truth must be suppressed if this sordid affair is to produce the desired results of dramatically augmented governmental power at the expense of individual liberty, state sovereignty, and the hallowed institution of a free enterprise economy. The traitors in government and their accomplices in the worlds of corporate media and global industry are determined to perpetuate the advance of their treasonous objectives. If they are to be thwarted it will most probably be the result of relentless effort on the part of individuals such as US Senate candidate Pastor Rick Tyler. Though a rarity in our time, such persons are much like founding father Patrick Henry who stated, “for my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it…” Clearly, it will only serve to advance the overarching cause of evil in our nation if we allow such massive deceit and treachery to go unexposed and unpunished. An aspiring statesman such as Rick Tyler understands that no cost is too great in the quest for the genuine principles of truth, liberty, and justice upon which our republic was founded.

Mainstream Suppresses Health Dangers of BP Gusher

06/16/10     By Victor Thorn, American Free Press, 06/14-21/10, Issue 24/25

As the Gulf of Mexico’s “oil volcano” continues to spew uncontrollably, Lindsey Williams, author of the book The Energy Non-Crisis and an expert on energy-related matters, contends that coastal residents may be facing a number of dangerous health-related issues that are not being reported by mainstream media sources. He also dismisses the notion of “peak oil,” opting instead for a theory that oil is constantly being created as part of natural processes deep within the Earth.

During a June 4 interview with this author, Williams stressed: “The biggest factor is airborne contaminants. People see oil washing up onto the shores, yet volatile contaminants in the air are a scourge that could turn catastrophic and make people sick.”

Williams cited hydrogen sulfide, benzene and methylene fluoride as the three primary threats. Safety levels for these substances range from five to 10 parts per billion (ppb), but the BP spill has elevated them to 1,200 to 3,000 ppb.

Williams minces no words: “If this gusher isn’t capped soon, it will be one of the worst disasters for humankind on planet Earth,” said Williams. “We have no idea what we’ve gotten ourselves into with this monster. The government is horrified that if they reveal the entire truth, widespread panic will occur. People don’t know what they’re facing, and we’re not being told all the details.”

OIL NO ‘FOSSIL FUEL’

Williams added that he is among a growing contingent that believes oil should not be viewed as a “fossil fuel” that resulted from organisms over millions of years turning ultimately into oil. Rather, he accepts what is called the “abiotic theory” of petroleum origins. “Oil is formed by a chemical process deep inside the Earth,” he said, “which then seeps upward into enormous pools that continually replenish over time.”

His position is reinforced by crucial data.

BP, the Russians and other deep-well drillers have discovered oil at depths of 35,000 to 43,000 feet. However, other organic matter has never been found any lower than 18,000 feet.

In this regard, did oil form from the remains of dead dinosaurs, or is it a naturally occurring based process involving non-living mineral matter? Also, why have wells pumped dry decades ago suddenly replenished themselves with renewed oil?

A number of researchers view “peak oil” as a conspiracy forwarded by the energy cartel for one particular reason: If they convince the public that oil is in an ever-diminishing supply, then prices will surely continue to increase.

But if the British Petroleum oil disaster is any indicator, it appears as if virtually unlimited amounts of oil reside well below where any fossils are ever known to have existed.

Gulf Oil Leak Now Worst Enviro-Disaster in History

06/16/10     By Pat Shannan, American Free Press, 06/14-21/10, Issue 24/25

Russian scientists have delivered a report to President Dmitry Medvedev warning that the British Petroleum (BP) oil and gas leak in the Gulf of Mexico is about to become the worst environmental catastrophe in all of human history. But it is not the oil spill itself that the entire population of the eastern half of North America has to fear, reports the

European press with information suppressed in this country. The highly toxic chemical dispersal agent Corexit 9500 is the chief culprit, say the scientists. It is a solvent originally developed by Exxon and now manufactured by the Nalco Holding Company of Naperville, Ill. It is four times more toxic than oil.

The dire report released in early June by Russia’s Ministry of Natural Resources bases its assessment on BP’s use of millions of gallons of Corexit 9500, which is being pumped directly into the Gulf of Mexico waters and designed to keep hidden from the American public the full and tragic extent of this leak that is now estimated to be over 2.9 million gallons a day.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is comparable to the U.S. Department of Interior and has been in existence for over 300 years.

The European Union Times said, “The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in discovering BP’s use of this dangerous dispersal agent ordered BP to stop using it, but BP refused, stating that their only alternative to Corexit 9500 was an even more dangerous dispersal agent known as Sea Brat 4.”

In a report written byAnita George-Ares and James R. Clark for Exxon Biomedical Sciences, Inc., titled “Acute Aquatic Toxicity of Three Corexit Products: An Overview” Corexit 9500 was found to be one of the most toxic dispersal agents ever developed. Worse, according to this report, with higher water temperatures, like those now occurring in the Gulf of Mexico, its toxicity grows.

And to understand the full import of this catastrophe, one must remember that this disaster is occurring in what are described as the “biologically richest waters in America,” with the greatest amount of oil and toxic Corexit 9500 set to come ashore in the coming days and weeks, to destroy the gulf completely for decades to come.

Dozens of Gulf Coast cleanup workers and fishermen have already fallen ill with a mysterious lung and neurological sickness that is threatening their lives. Marine toxicologist Riki Ott said, “It is literally frying their brains.”

A great danger involving Corexit 9500, and as outlined by Russian scientists in their report, is that with its 2.61 ppm toxicity level (oil is 11 ppm) when combined with the heating Gulf of Mexico waters, its molecules will be able to “phase transition” from their present liquid to a gaseous state, allowing them to be absorbed into clouds and allowing their release as “toxic rain” on all of Eastern North America.

Even worse, should a tropical hurricane form in the Gulf of Mexico while tens of millions of gallons of Corexit 9500 are sitting on or near its surface, the resulting toxic rain falling upon the North American continent could destroy microbial life to any depth it reaches, resulting in an “unimaginable environmental catastrophe” destroying all life forms from the “bottom of the evolutionary chart to the top.”

“It’s Agent Orange all over again,” wrote one blogger. “If there was ever a hidden conspiracy to cut the world’s population, this certainly fits the pattern.”

Such innovations stir the suspicions when coupled with the newly revealed information that Goldman Sachs sold out of BP only days before the April 20 gulf explosion that killed 11 and injured 17.

Associated Press in America has reported that over 50 miles of Louisiana’s coastline has already been destroyed by this oil spill, and American scientists are warning that the damage may be impossible to repair. However, no mention of Corexit 9500 has been seen or heard from any U.S. news agency.

The rumors in recent weeks that the federal government is secretly preparing to evacuate millions of citizens from their Gulf of Mexico homes may not be as “fearmongering” as first thought, should the worst of these dire scientific warnings start to come true.

“The greatest lesson to be learned byAmericans,” said The European Union Times, “is that their government-oil industry cabal has been just as destructive to them as their government-banking one—both of which have done more to destroy the United States these past couple of years than any foreign enemy could dare dream was possible.”

America Should Emulate Mexico’s Stiff Immigration Laws

05/29/10     Vince Ryan, American Free Press, 05/17/10 Issue 20

After watching the federal government do little at great cost to stop the flow of illegal immigrants from Mexico into the United States, Arizona, a state highly invaded by illegals, took tough and decisive action.

On April 23, Gov. Jan Brewer (R) signed S.B. 1070 into law. Among other things the new law requires residents to show proper identification to prove they are in the state legally. Clergymen and women of the major religious faiths decried the new law. And angry protesters stormed the state capitol in Phoenix.

Bishop John C. Wester of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops expressed concern for all immigrants in the United States and labeled the law “draconian.” United Methodist Bishop Minerva Carcaño said that through their social services, schools, congregations and workplaces, religious leaders “witness the human consequences of an inadequate, outdated system.” Episcopal Bishop Kirk Smith said the law “offends the dignity of all Arizonans. The tendency to scapegoat a vulnerable population for Arizona’s economic stagnation and federal inaction on immigration issues is an unworthy and counterproductive response to the problems we face.”

Gov. Brewer said that “racial profiling is illegal,” and that the law stipulates police need not ask about residency status if it would impede the case. Robert Kuhn, a Phoenix resident who belongs to the Minutemen, a border watch group, said: “The federal government won’t enforce the border, so states have to take it into their own hands.” Kuhn added that he has seen drug and human smuggling. “Undocumented immigrants are dragging on our society. They have no right to do it.”

While the U.S. southern border is wide open for those going into the United States from Mexico, those who wish to immigrate to Mexico are taken seriously.

The nationally syndicated columnist and author of the best seller Culture of Corruption Michelle Malkin paints a picture of the tough enforcement of Mexican immigration law compared to the wishy-washy American brand:

     • The Mexican government will bar foreigners if they upset “the equilibrium of the national demographics.”

     • If outsiders do not enhance the country’s “economic or national interests” or are “not found to be physically or mentally healthy,” they are not welcome. Neither are those who show “contempt against national sovereignty or security.”

In addition, those seeking Mexican citizenship must have clean criminal histories, provide a birth certificate, a bank statement and pass an exam showing they will be able to provide for their healthcare.

     • Illegal entry is a felony, punishable by two years imprisonment. Document fraud and alien marriage fraud are also subject to fine and imprisonment.

     • Foreigners can be expelled from Mexico without due process of law. And reentry after expulsion merits 10 years imprisonment.

     • All law enforcement officials must enforce immigration laws and deportations. The military must assist them, and native-born Mexicans can make citizen’s arrests of illegal aliens and turn them in to authorities.

     • The National Catalog of Foreigners tracks outside tourists and foreign nationals. A National Population Registry tracks and verifies the identity of every member of the population, and they must carry identity cards.

There is no public outcry in Mexico for “comprehensive immigration reform,” because pro-illegal alien speech by outsiders is prohibited. Non-citizens cannot “in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.”

The Mexican Congress has severely limited foreign nationals and companies from the fields of investment, education, mining, civil aviation, electric energy and firearms. The Mexican government has severely abused illegal aliens from Central America.

The police are totally corrupt, and bribery has been extorted from illegal aliens there for years. Mexico has been demanding the United States grant illegal aliens amnesty, something its own government never does.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon has no right to accuse Arizona of intolerance, hate, discrimination and abusive law enforcement when the record shows that he and his government are acting against people who are presumed guilty until proven innocent, which hardly ever happens.

The United States still has a Constitution with a Bill of Rights for everybody. Those foreigners who choose the United States are still among the most fortunate. And those who have chosen Arizona legally may be getting the best deal of all.

Will America Resort to ‘Nuking’ Gulf Oil Spill?

By Victor Thorn -  American Free Press Issue 22 May 31 2010

Is detonating a nuclear device to shift our planet’s tectonic plates the only way to seal a spewing oil fissure 5,000 feet beneath the ocean surface? Incredibly, on May 12 science writer Jeremy Hus broached this topic: “Using a nuclear explosion to plug the gushing oil well in the Gulf of Mexico might sound like overkill, but a Russian newspaper has suggested just that based on past Soviet successes.”

According to a May 4 article by reporter Julia Ioffe, “The Soviet Union used this method five times to deal with petro-calamities. The first happened in Uzbekistan, on Sept. 30, 1966, with a blast 1.5 times the strength of the Hiroshima bomb.”

To accomplish this feat, strategically placed nukes would be positioned into holes drilled through the ocean floor, then discharged.

On May 14, this writer interviewed an oil industry insider who requested anonymity. He described an array of horrifying details that are being withheld by mainstream media sources.

“The pressure of this super deep oil pocket that BP drilled into is so great that it may be beyond all human technology,” he said. “It’s so monstrous, I’m afraid to even estimate if there’s anything in this world that can contain it. BP used every safety mechanism and discretion imaginable, but the oil and gas pressure literally blew the lid. The Exxon Valdez was nothing in comparison. If the public knew all the ramifications, it’d cause a worldwide panic. If this oil gets into the Gulf Stream and travels to Europe, it will cause a disaster for the entire globe.”

He continued, “BP hit the same pocket that Russians did a few years ago. The big difference is: Soviet explorers located this pocket on land, while BP attempted to excavate it at sea. The pressure is so exceedingly high that humanity has never confronted something of this magnitude. The amount of oil down there is beyond

comparison to anything we’ve ever discovered. Because of its immense nature, the pressure blew out every single safety valve; now BP is scared to death.”

When asked about the use of nukes to stop the volcanic flow of oil, this source said with regret: “The Russians could be right. Nothing but a nuclear device may contain this catastrophe. But there’s a tremendous danger associated with this tactic if it doesn’t work. It will cause an even bigger hole in the ocean floor, releasing massive amounts of crude oil that will gush out uncontrollably from the Earth’s [crust]. If that happens, the ecosystem and human race may never recover.”

Considering the high levels of radiation related to this procedure, Coast Guard Commandant Thad Allen offered another toxic alternative during a May 9 broadcast of Face the Nation.

If BP’s containment domes continue to fail, he said, “the next tactic is going to be something they call a junk shot. They’ll take a bunch of debris—shredded tires and golf balls—and shoot it into the preventer to see if they can clog it up and stop the leak.”

The gulf is being further contaminated by chemical dispersants sprayed by airplanes onto the spreading oil slicks (and now beneath the surface as well).

Jessica Resnick-Ault and Jim Polson compared these aerial scrubbing agents to household soaps and detergents that “can cause irritation to the nose and eyes, headaches and vomiting.” Unfortunately, John Williams, executive director of the Southern Shrimp Alliance, warned that these dispersants “may be more damaging than the oil itself.”

The Oil Solution Under Our Feet; the Opportunity Under Our Noses

By Mark Anderson - American Free Press Issue 22 May 31, 2010

Major oil deposits are right under our feet, not just off the coasts such as in the Gulf of Mexico, where a British Petroleum rig spewing crude oil into the water may be used as an excuse to suggest that our domestic oil options are limited to offshore rigs that carry more risks than other sources. Perhaps someone should tell President Obama.

There are numerous land-based oilrigs, owned by individuals and small companies, throughout America. However, the lesser-known but huge oil finds are the Bakken Formation, a shale-oil deposit where North Dakota meets eastern Montana and the nearby Canadian provinces; and Gull Island near Alaska’s North Slope. Let’s revisit the Bakken Formation.

AMERICAN FREE PRESS has reported on the Bakken (and Gull Island) before, including during 2008, when oil prices spiked and the economy sputtered. The Bakken oil deposit is estimated to be at least twice the size of Saudi Arabia’s Ghawar oil field.

The real lesson from the Gulf of Mexico “leak” is the need for a populist economic revival, based partly on an energy initiative involving much greater access to both the Bakken and Gull Island deposits and an easing of some regulations and a boost in activity regarding slant drilling on the Great Lakes and other lakes. Oil wells and plant sources of biofuels owned by families and small companies across America also could contribute.

We must move away from corporate monopoly of energy production.

Most American media continue to sidestep such a clear solution of getting oil from better, safer sources with far less favoritism toward companies like British Petroleum that represent the corporate culture that has ransacked the U.S. economy. On April 10, 2008, the year that crude oil jumped to more than $140 per barrel, a United States Geological Survey (USGS) press release was headlined, “3 to 4.3 Billion Barrels of Technically Recoverable Oil Assessed in North Dakota and Montana’s Bakken Formation—25 Times More Than 1995 Estimate.”

Recall, this was when gasoline was costing motorists around $4 per gallon, while diesel was hitting $5 a gallon, sidelining independent trucking firms. Why wasn’t the Bakken Formation frequent front-page news?

The USGS assessment “shows a 25-fold increase in the amount of oil that can be recovered compared to the agency’s 1995 estimate of 151 million barrels of oil,” the release clarified.

Briefly, the Bakken Formation is a shale-oil formation that has five distinct sections, or “continuous assessment units.” Notably, “technically recoverable” means oil that can be extracted with current technology.

The USGS also says the Bakken Formation estimate “is larger than all other current USGS oil assessments of the contiguous 48 states and is the largest ‘continuous’ oil accumulation ever assessed by the USGS, which means the oil is dispersed throughout a geologic formation rather than existing ‘as discrete, localized occurrences.’ The next largest continuous oil accumulation in the United States is in the ‘Austin Chalk’ of Texas and Louisiana, with an undiscovered estimate of 1 billion barrels of technically recoverable oil.”

The USGS also says its estimate of 3 to 4.3 billion barrels of technically recoverable oil “has a mean value of 3.65 billion barrels.”

A grassroots initiative for reasonable energy independence based on much more domestic oil extraction and processing, from a variety of sources, would be supplemented with increased use of natural gas and biofuels, as well as ethanol that does not always have to be corn-based—to make sure enough corn is used for food. As is the case with untapped crude, there are gargantuan natural gas deposits just sitting there, representing work to be done, pay to be earned, homes to be bought, foreclosures to be prevented and families to be saved.
