Disappointment in the Independent News

06/03/10     From Pastor Rick Tyler’s blog page on the Tyler for Senate website

In a recent issue of Independent News, publisher Rick Outzen has showcased the Florida senatorial race by focusing on the three major candidates who by their presence create a highly intriguing dynamic in what should prove to be the most closely watched political contest of 2010. Indeed, at this early hour, Marco Rubio, Charlie Crist, and Kendrick Meek are all plausible contenders for the seat that first opened up when former Senator Mel Martinez decided not to seek re-election. Martinez even went so far as to not finish his current term, thus giving sitting Governor Charlie Crist the opportunity to hank pick an individual to keep the seat warm for his own ascendency in 2010. Crist loyalist George LeMieux was just the man for the job and, true to script, he opted not to enter the forthcoming contest in 2010 that has now become such an animated slugfest.

Early on Governor Crist appeared to be a veritable shoo-in to become Florida’s next Senator until former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio capitalized on a growing shift to the right that has been spurred by the escalating excesses and outrages of the Obama administration. Crist committed the unforgiveable faux paux of hugging Obama when the ostensible president came to Tallahassee in February, 2009. The Governor had already rendered the appearance of being too quick to jump on the bandwagon of willingly accepting federal bribe money under the guise of economic stimulus. Overall…Crist’s already suspect “conservative” credentials were thoroughly subverted by his appearance of being cozy with a president who had quickly become more despised by the right than even the dreadful Clintonistas. These factors led to a perfect storm of conditions conducive to Marco Rubio’s political ambitions and aspirations. The former Florida House Speaker skillfully honed his strident message and appeal to the teaparty movement and over the course of the ensuing months was able to leave the Governor in a distant second place in the polls. With his Republican fortunes in shambles Governor Crist made the daring decision to seek the U.S. Senate seat as an independent candidate and made this maneuver formal on the April 30th filing deadline in Tallahassee.

Suddenly…the political world was abuzz with controversy and speculation as to the eventual outcome of a race that would feature three major contenders…each of whom would appear to be capable of potentially garnering in the neighborhood of one third of the total vote count in the general election.

As we refocus attention on the Pensacola based Independent News, it is needful that we consider certain characteristics of the publisher of this well produced weekly newspaper. Rick Outzen is willing to make waves to a certain extent as he plies his journalistic trade. He’s quite gifted in his ability to synthesize information on the way to arriving at the conclusions he puts forth in his paper. Understandably, he can’t resist taking pop shots at easy targets such as BP, the Pensacola News Journal, overly aggressive and possibly racist law enforcement officers, scandal ridden local politicians, alleged homicidal criminal masterminds, and various other opportunists, misfits, and villains. At the same time, Mr. Outzen also has an obvious soft spot for those he perceives to be among the classically downtrodden and oppressed. In this vein, he exhibits a notable affinity for African American professionals, political aspirants, and victims. Such sentiment was vividly manifested in his gushing promotion of former political aspirant Lumon May as well as the passion with which he probed the story of the tragic death of Victor Steen. It is also in keeping with this propensity on the part of Mr. Outzen that we witness his apparent bias toward black Democratic senate candidate Kendrick Meek. It is probably safe to assume that Mr. Outzen is among the significant number of white Americans who believe it to be a good and healthy development that America has elected a black president. The supposed logic behind such a sentiment is predicated on the notion that the elevation of a black person to such a high and exalted position somehow establishes prima facie evidence that racism in America is on the wane. Ironically…those who approve of Obama on the basis of his blackness are guilty of a form of anti-white racism…even though a great many of such persons are white themselves! What remains to be seen is whether or not Mr. Outzen will be able to marshal objectivity in his coverage of the Florida senate race, or if his proclivity to promote the interest of blacks will bias him in favor of Mr. Meek who must first dispatch billionaire candidate Jeff Greene from West Palm Beach.

On a final note, I was greatly disappointed that Mr. Outzen has elected to participate in the covering up and blacking out of the Tyler for Senate campaign. Although he may well recoil in horror at the unabashed advocacy for white Americans that is front and center in my senate campaign, it would nevertheless be indicative of professionalism and journalistic integrity for him to provide coverage of the highly newsworthy fact that a Pensacolan of such unusual and intriguing credentials as myself has qualified to be on the ballot in the November senatorial election! Unlike various also-rans and gadflies…Rick Tyler brings to the table an arsenal of characteristics and capabilities that could potentially serve to establish a presence on the political radar screen. As a possible pressure valve for an increasingly frustrated, threatened, and growing percentage of white Americans, the Tyler campaign could even garner enough votes to have a bearing on the ultimate outcome of the race.

Tyler Announces Plans to Protest News Journal Censorship

05/18/10 CFP Staff

U.S. Senate candidate Pastor Rick Tyler, of Pensacola, has announced plans to protest what he derides as the censorship practices of the local daily paper, the Pensacola News Journal.

Tyler’s beef with the PNJ predates the April 15th announcement of his senatorial candidacy. On September 27, 2008 Tyler sponsored a 9-11 Truth Symposium at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pensacola (www.gc911truth.com). Speakers at this event included best selling author Jim Marrs of Texas and 29 year retired FBI veteran Ted Gunderson, a former Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles FBI office overseeing 700 agents. These men and other notable speakers were all on hand to question the official story put forth by government and media as to what supposedly transpired of that fateful occasion in 2001. Although the PNJ was issued a press release regarding this event and was hand delivered flyers well in advance of the occasion, they nevertheless chose to act as if this highly newsworthy gathering was somehow irrelevant and insignificant. On any given day, of course, the PNJ will expend considerable ink toward the reporting of far less significant goings on that in many instances truly are of no consequence and threaten to drive the reader into a state of slumber.

On March 27, 2009 the PNJ once again chose to suppress yet another ultra controversial and audacious Tyler sponsored event, this being the Three Pillars of Tyranny Convention (www.threepillarsoftyranny.com). Once again, Pastor Tyler managed to assemble an intriguing speakers roster that featured ex-FBI man Gunderson as well as former IRS Criminal Investigator Joe Bannister. These men and other notables were on hand to present evidence as to the criminal and unconstitutional nature of the Federal Income Tax, the private banking cartel which is the Federal Reserve, as well as the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which altered the selection process for the U.S. Senate.

When Pastor Tyler announced his Senate candidacy across the street from the Federal Courthouse in downtown Pensacola on April 15th, he was not surprised to once again be blacked out by the PNJ. Although his hour long scathing condemnation of criminal government was filmed by the feds from the top floor courthouse window, and this peaceful proclamation of a political candidacy was menacingly shadowed by numerous plain clothes and uniformed members of the law enforcement community…the News Journal still deemed it to be a non-event, worthy of appropriate treatment by the Orwellian “Ministry of Truth.”

In the aftermath of the announcement speech, Candidate Tyler was conspicuously present at the Pensacola Tea Party gathering on Davis Highway in front of the University Mall. At this event, Tyler was forced to deal with the childish antics of professed Tea Party organizer John Baker who, incredibly, tried to ban the newly announced Senate candidate and his supporters from the spontaneous grass roots uprising. PNJ reporter Troy Moon was on hand and actually spoke to Tyler, informing him that he would make mention of his candidacy in his forthcoming article. Later that evening, reference was made in Reporter Moon’s online article to Senate Candidate Tyler being at the Tea Party, but within hours this part of the story disappeared into the memory hole!

Several days later Mr. Tyler contacted Managing Editor Ginny Graybiel who feigned complete innocence and ignorance in all matters related to Rick Tyler. Her suggestion to this unique and controversial candidate was that he “write in to the Viewpoint section” of the PNJ. To this Tyler responded that he simply wanted to know if the News Journal was going to be responsible and “report the news.” When told caustically that no action would be taken, Tyler then informed Ms. Graybiel that he intended to picket the PNJ and wondered aloud as to whether or not that might constitute a newsworthy event? “Probably not,” was the terse reply of the Managing Editor.

Although Senate Candidate Tyler would much prefer the PNJ stop playing the role of censor and suppressor of the news, he readily acknowledges that their ill-advised snafu has given him a golden opportunity to hammer home a profound message concerning the glaring absence of a genuine free press in our nation today. The PNJ is a local subsidiary of the sprawling Gannett news corporation and is part and parcel of what many view cynically as nothing more than a manifestation of a lap dog, controlled media.

By taking to the streets in front of the PNJ, Tyler hopes to raise awareness of the fact that Pensacola’s daily paper is in reality a disgrace to the First Amendment and a poor excuse for journalistic professionalism and integrity.

Rogue Jurists Wage War Against Liberty and Truth

05/18/10     CFP Staff

The Federal Courthouse in Pensacola has been a fountainhead of evil and subversive activity in recent years. Beyond the fact that its mere presence at the corner of Palafox and Garden Streets is an affront to Constitutional liberty…the Federal Courthouse has been the specific scene of a variety of miscarriages of justice. Two such shameful events involved the sham trials and railroading into prison of patriotic heroes and martyrs Dr. Kent Hovind and Dr. Ward Dean. (For more information regarding the plight of these two stalwart defenders of the Constitution, the reader is advised to go to www.threepillarsoftyranny.com/honor.html). Hovind and Dean were both persecuted and prosecuted by a criminal judiciary that routinely tramples on Constitutional liberty in its ongoing illicit domination of the American people as a whole. In order to maintain its illegitimate power, the Federal judiciary flagrantly violates its own rules of procedure found in Title 18 of the United States Code. Federal prosecutors and judges are all engaged in a massive criminal racket whereby they prey upon the ignorance, fear, and naivete of the citizenry who are cajoled and browbeaten into rendering “guilty” verdicts against their hapless, targeted fellow Americans.

Two judges in particular have made their indelible and infamous mark upon the annals of injustice in this locality. Judges Lacey Collier and Casey Rodgers played major roles in illicitly denying defendants Hovind and Dean their Constitutionally guaranteed due process of law. In concert with the jackal like prosecutors who marshaled the government’s bogus, trumped up cases against Hovind and Dean, these two rogue jurists did all within their unscrupulous power to prevent the truth from seeing the light of day in their respective courtrooms. Upon manipulating a pliable jury to the desired guilty verdict, Collier and Rodgers proceeded to mete out insanely draconian sentences, thus compounding the severity of their crimes of abuse, misconduct and malfeasance.

Of even greater severity, however, have been the rulings of Judge Casey Rodgers in the case involving the issues of prayer and Christian expression in the school system of Santa Rosa County, Florida. With guidance by the ACLU, two unknown plaintiffs brought suit alleging a violation of their rights by virtue of the open expression of Christian and Biblical truth and practice in Santa Rosa’s schools. This inane line of legal argumentation has become all too familiar in our nation as the organized anti-Christ forces of atheistic humanism have carried out deadly warfare against the noble Christian heritage and character of the American nation our forefathers established. Pathetically…Americans of all backgrounds have been intimidated into docile silence by a tyrannical Federal government that continuously champions evil while brazenly asserting the lie that its actions somehow reflect the original intent of the framers of the Constitution.

Although it is obvious that the hireling prosecutors and judges are merely following the orders and dictates that emanate from on high, it is nevertheless undeniable that they are fully complicit and cooperative in the gradual yet systematic destruction of the Christian foundation upon which our nation was established. (Visit www.wallbuilders.com.)  Serious students of both Scripture and the history of Revolutionary America understand that our federal taskmasters are fully intent upon the complete imposition of their iron fisted tyrannical will. For this reason it is also understood that the time has arrived for imprecatory prayer for divine deliverance from the wicked oppressors among us.

No Free Press = No Liberty

07/26/08

The First Amendment of our beloved Bill of Rights guarantees freedom of the press.  According to that venerable safeguard to our liberties, no law can be established that would in any way impinge upon journalistic freedom.  The legislature or governmental agency that would dare promulgate any such law is by definition criminal in nature.  Indeed, freedom of the press is a principle cornerstone of liberty.

A dire predicament exists in our locality, as well as virtually all other communities in our nation today.  The predicament that we are speaking of is embodied in the fact that the free press envisioned by our Constitutional framers has effectively become extinct!  In Pensacola, for instance, publications such as the News Journal and the Independent News are in no way representative of a free press.  Instead they cater to special powerful interests and they utterly fail in the necessary task of exposing evil and corruption in high places, locally and nationally.

These aforementioned publications contain a great deal of useful and interesting information and, as a rule, articles, stories, and features within their pages are well written.  Furthermore, the individuals who derive their livelihood from these publications are for the most part decent and sincere members of the community.  Despite these admirable qualities however, the PNJ and IN are abysmal failures when it comes to doing what a genuine “free press” is supposed to do.

It is fairly well known in our modern society that corruption in high places is essentially the order of the day.  Lord Acton stated that “power corrupts” and that “absolute power corrupts absolutely.”  In business, government, religion, academia, the military, the media, and any other noteworthy areas of institutional endeavor, it is utterly common to encounter corruption, fraud, and abuse of power at high levels within the organized structure.  The illicit deeds that occasionally get exposed are pretty much understood to be the proverbial tip of the iceberg, and in order to maintain secrecy and avoid accountability for their misdeeds, the perpetrators of scandal and abuse must routinely conspire one with another to avoid detection and exposure.

In the case of our local print media that falsely poses as the “free press,” the sins that typify their operational agenda are both active and passive.  Sins of commission would include those all too frequent occasions when they engage in outright misrepresentation of the facts as they pertain to any given story. The sins of omission happen to be even more odious and objectionable than their active counterparts.  Such sins occur when the publications in question fail or refuse to cover, expose, or delve into stories and circumstances that are of the utmost relevance and importance. When challenged, on all too infrequent occasions, as to why they have no interest in stories that involve damning corruption, collusion, and cover-up, the response, if any at all, tends to be one of scoffing and ridicule.  People who try to hold the media’s feet to the fire relative to such matters are likely to be labeled as “conspiracy theorists” and then dismissed outright as being unworthy of being taken seriously.

The publication you are reading is hereby heralding the fact that, by the grace of God, a new day has dawned in the world of print and online media.  The Constitutional Free Press is absolutely and unequivocally what its name asserts. It is a free press in the truest sense, beholden to none of the corrupted power brokers that have consistently exercised their long arm of manipulative domination over every conceivable area of life where monetary profit can be derived. We are zealously committed to the promotion, defense, and application of the United States Constitution, the law that was written and adopted by our forefathers for the purpose of governing the government. It is our purpose and intention to be a relentless watchdog seeking to lay bare and uncover conspiracy and criminality wherever it may have taken up illicit residence.

The citizens that comprise the populace of our community are rightfully expected by those within government and law enforcement to obey the laws that have been enacted to preserve and maintain societal order. As sad and galling as it may be however, the public servants among us have failed to abide by the standard they seek to impose upon the public.  Instead of practicing the Constitutional mandate of separation of powers, they have engaged in a perverse form of ‘Cooperation of Powers’. The legislative branch of government routinely enacts countless unconstitutional laws which the colluding executive departments proceed to implement and enforce. When challenges are occasionally brought against the unconstitutional laws and their corresponding enabling regulations, the conspiring judiciary fails to perform its mandated task of striking down the same.  In summation, we are living under criminal government that has become thoroughly accustomed to thumbing its nose at the Constitution that our forefathers bled and died for.

The lamentable situation we find ourselves in the midst of could have never come to pass had a free press been extant and operational.  Let us hope that the Constitutional Free Press will become the hope-filled harbinger of things to come.  Though the institutional corruption and criminality runs deep and wide, it may nevertheless be possible to turn the tide and restore decency, sanity, and liberty to our community, region, state, and nation! ◊

Local Media Blacks Out Presidential Candidacy of Pensacola Pastor

07/26/08

On April 26, 2008 Pastor Chuck Baldwin of Crossroads Baptist Church in Pensacola was tapped to be the presidential standard bearer of the Constitution Party.  Delegates from the party affiliates of the Constitutional Party in a wide variety of states had assembled in Kansas City, Missouri for a 4-day nominating convention to determine who their presidential candidate would be in the 2008 election.  400+ attendees were wooed by aspirants that included nationally known Alan Keyes, a fiery orator and former candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.  From 1983 to 1985, Mr. Keyes served as ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council and, in 2004, was the Republican nominee in Illinois for the US Senate seat that, after being won by Barak Obama, became the springboard for his quest for the presidency in this current election cycle.

Although he didn’t actively seek the nomination Pastor Chuck Baldwin, of Pensacola, was selected by a hefty majority of the national delegates and upon his acceptance, became the presidential nominee of the Constitution Party.

In 2004 Pastor Baldwin was selected by Constitution Party presidential nominee Michael Peroutka to be his vice-presidential running mate.  At that time Baldwin did receive minimal coverage in the Pensacola News Journal.

Among alternate political parties in our nation, the Constitution Party is one of the better known and organized.  It is easily on par with the Libertarian, the Green, and the Reform parties.  Historically, these and their alternate parties have been viewed primarily as a repository for protest votes.  In certain situations, however, they can wind up playing the role of perceived spoiler.  Such was the case in 2000 when Green Party candidate Ralph Nader ostensibly garnered enough votes in Florida to prevent Al Gore from winning the state and becoming President.  It was assumed that the vast majority of Nader votes would have otherwise gone to the liberal Democrat vs. the supposedly conservative Republican Bush.

Alternate movements and parties are an undeniable part of the national political landscape and to simply pretend they are irrelevant or don’t exist is inexcusable conduct for a media enterprise.  It is even more outrageous for the media to black out the highly newsworthy event of a local pastor and constitutional activist becoming the official standard bearer of one of the more significant alternative political parties.

One can only conjecture and speculate as to why the Baldwin presidential nomination story has been snubbed by the local media of his hometown.  Is it because the big media are too arrogant and condescending to come down from their lofty perch and grant recognition to such irrelevant persons as the alternate party nominees?  Or…is it that these supporters and advocates of all things unconstitutional simply can’t bring themselves to give even the slightest amount of exposure and attention to the staunchest proponents of our nation’s supreme law? Whatever the reason, the simple and ugly fact is that a story of genuine interest and importance has been summarily blacked out and, once again, we see yet another problem that results when there is no free press.
